FOR STARTERS: The Men’s Chorus assisted today, John Bowler led the pledge and Merle led the invocation.

Guests today were Melissa representing BCHD and David Hunt.

Carson had an interclub led by Jackie Acosta and 3 others

Inductees: Vera Deutch was Sponsored by Harry Smith and Dan was sponsored by his wife, Linda.  

Earl performed the induction procedure.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Thanks to Linda , Dan, and McCurdy’s for catering the board meeting. 28K$ is available for scholarships plus 60 K$ (4 x 15 K/Yr ) from the anonymous donor. Jim Fucile is still at Little Company of Mary and had a close call.

May 25th friends of library setup, Wed 29th presale 6-7:30, 1 June book sale

COMMITTEES:  We will not be selling wine/maitai’s at the Memorial Day Fiesta. Hot Dogs plus accoutrements will be it, that weekend. (Need Volunteers).

Arts Committee under Colleen made $250 donation to ADTECH

Harry H Vera joined; Tony H new club members, governors meeting, hot dog booth, attendance; Bob M H circle K in action; Christine: H support for triathlon; Howieee S no maitai booth, H new hotdog idea by adding  rum in a blender, (dogtai) Sam:  new members and Carson visit.

Guest: Sergeant Tommy Thompson of the Hermosa Beach Police Department described government funding he received for traffic safety. An example is the new plastic cones warning cars about cross walks on Pier Avenue. A lively Q & A followed. If you have specific issues contact:
