SPEAKER: Rick introduced today's' speaker, Fritz Hershey who spoke about "Personal Coaching". He says its not just for celebrities and professional athletes. Unlike regular psychotherapy which generally aims at getting a low functioning person to function normally, personal coaching uses cognitive-behavioral therapy principles to help high functioning individuals achieve higher goals and improve their lives. Personal coaching helps define goals and develop paths to achieve those goals. By developing processes it becomes self-sustaining and you don't have to do it forever. |
