KIWANIS ONE DAY

Amy -  April 5th – Beach Clean up – meet at Pier head at 8:00 am for continental        breakfast provided by Rick Hankus – Ocean Diner/Java Man- collect trash –       make a trash display with the help of our sponsored youth – THIS THE DAY     ALL KIWANIANS NEED TO SHOW UP.

 

RENAISSANCE FAIRE

Jan – April 26th & 27th   Hermosa View on Prospect & 18th – we are looking for more   adult volunteers and vendors

 

MEMORIAL DAY WEEK END

May 24, 25, 26 - Kiwanis in the beer garden again – we need to earn more then we drink!     Christine H. and Jan get to double shift Kiwanis and Woman’s Club

HAPPY / SAD

Richard  happy Closed escrow on house in Hermosa Beach happy  moved in last night happy to be HB resident happy  to be new resident of HB happy –“DID I SAY THAT I AM HAPPY” to be a resident  of HB

Bruce TRIVIA $1 0r 5 if solved --- What is the largest single cell?  No answer $1.00 –Answer – an ochre’s egg

Paul happy/sad Won the election  and for the one that didn’t vote which made it a runoff

YVONNE 50/50 happy/sad Richard bought a house, but she did not get the sell!

Cathy  happy  Joni and Greg did a great job with Bud’s memorial; sad  moved tables and chairs twice -1st  meeting and then memorial service - then went home and planted  flowers and hurt her back; sad/happy she and Dick are going to Florida and Georgia to visit family next week and will miss the meeting

Bob  sad missed Bud’s memorial service;  sad Judi’s mother passed away

Dallas – happy Rick new in HB;  happy  with guest; happy Bud’s memorial went so well; happy  club received $1300.00 for     rental of hall

Amy  happy  Joe B Day- hopes to look that good and live that long;  happy to have Eric      as a speaker; happy “old” college room mate (four years ago) is here to visit

Whit – UNHAPPY !!!!  Some one left the ice maker on and he had a         chilling experience!

Greg – happy  Joe’s B Day and Bruce promise to take him for a ride in   the Ferrari and go 95 mph; Sad about the Whit “ice” crisis;           happy for Cathy and Dick and all the others helped with Bud           memorial service

Mike – sad he missed Bud Murray’s memorial;  happy his “team”   pulled          it off without him; happy got a “B” in the last class; happy talk to Earl and he is find, just got over stress with the election –     (Alice deserves a medal for taking good care of him)

Eric walked 3600 miles in 206 days from Nags Head, NC, to San Francisco, Ca. for Cancer.  He is a very positive and fun speaker about a serious subject.
