We began with Dano
and Paul leading the patriotic song, sans

Our guests today
were

We sang? Happy 20th
Anniversary to Carol and Key and Happy Birthday to the adorable Howie Seeb,
don’t you just want to pinch those cute little cheeks?

We had the honor
to install Cedric ‘Mickey’ McRae today and he volunteered to help anybody do
anything… the clamor to enlist him was deafening. We welcome you Mickey!
Mike Miller was
elected to be Vice President even though he was not in attendance. The moral to
this story is ‘if you’re not here, you are volunteered to what ever comes up
that day’ so you’d better show up!

Dee Prescott from
Easter Seals dropped by to thank us for remodeling their rooms and for the
annual Christmas party and to let us know they applied for a Micro Enterprises
grant to help disabled people own their own businesses.
Total K Day was a
total success. The hall looks spic ‘n span and valley park
never looked cleaner.
At the last board
meeting it was decided to give Happy Hats $500 and to donate to the scholarship
fund in Jim Fucille’s name.

Bruce performed a
magic trick and pulled the president’s gavel from his pants, which he then
raffled off to Pat as a collectable relic for $25. Pat graciously gave it to
Terry.
Carol was given a
check from Hilda and Commercial Capital Bank for $617.27 from people
designating Kiwanis as their favorite charity when they open a new account.
Paul Lawson
announced (via Bob since Paul wasn’t here either) that the Red Cross blood
mobile will be at St Cross Saturday from 8:00-2:00. Stop by and donate.
